Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

Director-General inaugurates an exhibition of drawings of the Cultural Heritage of the Croatian Coastline
On 21 April 2008, UNESCO Director-General Koïchiro Matsuura joined Jasen Mesic, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Mirko Galic, Ambassador, Permanent Delegate of the Republic of Croatia to UNESCO and Rut Carek, Secretary-General of the Croatian National Commission, for the inauguration of an exhibition showcasing the historical monuments and sites along Croatia’s spectacular Adriatic coast. The exhibition, featuring the drawings of the award winning Croatian artist, Hrovje Šercar, who was also present, had been organized by the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Croatia to UNESCO at the Organization’s Paris Headquarters.

On 7 April, UNESCO Director-General, Mr Koïchiro Matsuura joined Datuk Mohammed Shafie Apdal, Minister for Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage, Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Minister for Education and Chairman of Malaysia’s National Commission for UNESCO, Dato’ S. Thanarajasingam, Ambassador of Malaysia to France and Kenneth J Luis, Permanent Delegate of Malaysia to UNESCO, to inaugurate Authentic Malaysia, an exhibition celebrating the country’s cultural and natural heritage.
