Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

Director-General holds an information meeting on UNESCO’s strategy on Global Climate Change
On 13 November 2007, Mr Koïchiro Matsuura, the Director-General of UNESCO, held an Information Meeting with the Permanent Delegates and Observers on the development of UNESCO’s strategy on Global Climate Change.

The Director-General launches two volumes on Standard-setting at UNESCO
On 30 October 2007, Mr Koïchiro Matsuura, the Director-General of UNESCO, launched two volumes on “Standard-setting at UNESCO,” on the margins of the 34th session of the General Conference. The volumes, edited by UNESCO’s Office of International Standards and Legal Affairs, were put together as a follow-up to the Symposium entitled “UNESCO: Sixty Years of Standard-Setting in Education, Science and Culture,” organized in March 2006, in which UNESCO’s standard-setting practices and experiences were the subject of scholarly discussion.
