Ket Themes HISTORIC URBAN LANDSCAPES The papers or posters must refer to one of the following thematic areas:
• Design for physical integrity of historic urban landscapes and design-related physical elements: colours, chromatic rules, structure, shape, volumes, morphology, fabric, materials, scales, proportions, rhythms, aspects, cohesion, etc. Uniform techniques and materials in contemporary architecture: impact on historic urban landscapes. Environmentally friendly materials, sustainable materials used in contemporary architecture in a historic urban landscape context. • Legislation, legal framework and normative action for conservation of physical integrity of historic urban landscapes (national, regional and international); Implementation and sanctions. • Documentation of physical integrity of historic urban landscapes for integration of contemporary architecture. • New building technologies and contemporary architecture in a historic urban landscape context. • Higher education policies for conservation of physical integrity of historic urban landscapes • The role of international / intergovernmental and non governmental organisations in conservation and development of physical integrity of historic urban landscapes. • Awareness-raising of the media and the public at large; Role of elected Representatives; participation of local communities or populations or other stakeholders in conserving the physical integrity of historic urban landscapes. • Intangible aspects / impacts on physical integrity of historic urban landscapes. 2.
