ABSTRACT
In the last decades, Hanoi has been experiencing rapid urbanization process. Several old housing areas have been downgraded while new
areas have been constructed meeting demand of its inhabitants. Green space in old housing areas is not concerned; land for the space is
occupied or used for other purposes. In new urban areas, green space is studied in planning projects to ensure clean environment and
creating nice urban landscape. However, in most of the projects, builders focus on constructing houses but not green space as planned in
advance. Beside, the city yet has solutions for effectively managing green space and mobilizing financial and human resources from private
sectors to participate in processes of design, investment, and implementation monitoring as well as managing trees. REFERENCES
